REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS – Providers of Planning Services Based On The Eastern Shore Of Virginia
The Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission (Commission) invites the submittal of responses to this Request for Proposal (RFP) from consultant to provide planning services. The Commission intends to consider consultants that possess the capabilities to provide the scope of services detailed below. This is an 18- month commitment with potential extensions up to those allowed by the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide experienced personnel, supplies, and services on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
The Commission will receive sealed mailed, emailed and delivered responses to this RFP at the addresses set forth below until Noon on Monday, July 24, 2023. Proposals submitted after this deadline will be rejected. Electronic submissions will be accepted; however, such information must be provided in a single PDF file. 3.21.23 A-NPDC Planning Department Seeks COASTAL RESILIENCE PLANNING INTERN
The Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission (A-NPDC), Planning Department is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to assist in the development in the ESVA Community Resilience & Sustainability Plan (CRSP). This a paid part-time, temporary internship comprised of two main functions: (1) Public Engagement and (2) Resource Assessment. This position reports to the Coastal Planner. A high school diploma/GED required; the preferred candidate will be enrolled in post-secondary course work in environmental sciences or a related field.
Urgent Needs Food Voucher Waiting List Opening February 13, 2023
The Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission will open the regional Urgent Needs Food Voucher Waiting List to assist low- and moderate-income households from February 13, 2023 until February 28, 2023. Applications will be available at the A-NPDC office and regional partners including Eastern Shore Area Agency on Aging, the Town of Tangier, and other agencies. Applications will be assessed for income eligibility and other program requirements, and will be ordered first come-first served according to the time and date received by A-NPDC. Applications will be accepted beginning 9 AM on February 13, 2023 at the Peninsula Enterprise Building, 23372 Front Street in Accomac, Virginia. No applications will be accepted after 5 PM on February 28, 2023. Assistance will be in the form of food vouchers and will be distributed only while funding is available.
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR FOOD VOUCHERS
The Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission (Commission) invites the submittal of responses to this Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified Markets interested in selling gift certificates. The Commission intends to consider Markets who possess the capabilities to provide the scope of services detailed below. The gift certificates will be purchased by Accomack County to satisfy the requirements of the COVID19 Urgent Needs CDBG grant. Eligible Low and Moderate Income families will receive the gift certificates.
SMALL BUSINESS RESILIENCE TRAINING – JANUARY 13
This training is free and offered by the Coastal Virginia (CoVA) Adaptation & Resilience Consortium in conjunction with the Accomack-Northampton PDC and the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce.
ESVA REGIONAL HOUSING STUDY (MARCH 2022)
The Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission (A-NPDC) selected consultants to develop this Regional Facilitation Services and Housing Needs Analysis between July 2021 and March 2022. This report serves to provide the region, local units of government, housing developers, and the community with a meaningful sense of the bi-county housing market in order to formulate affordable housing priorities and detail actions for the foreseeable future.
