The Alliance is a non-profit Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). The Alliance focuses on preparing Eastern Shore residents for the responsibilities of homeownership. The Alliance also continues its vital work in reconstructing and rehabilitating houses that have no indoor plumbing.

Eastern Shore of Virginia Indoor Rehabilitation Program
Applications are currently being accepted for rehabilitation of homes with partial or no indoor plumbing. Eligibility will be determined.
Virginia Homeless Solutions Program
The Eastern Shore of Virginia Housing Alliance offers the Virginia Homeless Solutions Program on the Eastern Shore to offer assistance in homelessness.
Help with Buying a House, Foreclosure & Budgeting
Housing Counseling Program
You can receive housing counseling assistance here on the Eastern Shore at our offices at 23372 Front Street, Accomac, Virginia. This assistance is provided at no cost to you but, depending on what you need, you may be required to pay $15 for your credit report which our staff will run for you. The types of counseling offered includes home purchase, pre-purchase counseling to prepare you to purchase a home, or foreclosure counseling. We also offer financial literacy classes to teach you skills that will help you pursue your own stable financial future.

Eastern Shore of Virginia Regional Housing Study - March 2022
The Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission (A-NPDC) selected consultants to develop this Regional Facilitation Services and Housing Needs Analysis between July 2021 and March 2022. This report serves to provide the region, local units of government, housing developers, and the community with a meaningful sense of the bi-county housing market in order to formulate affordable housing priorities and detail actions for the foreseeable future.
